A little Something – Recycled

October 15th, 2010

Here is one of my latest projects. My sister-in-law wanted to save this sweater that belonged to her father.  She wanted it turned into a pillow cover, not sure how I could pull it off for her, but I think it turned out rather nice.

I have more recycled items coming soon…

My amazing midwife just had a new baby…a new baby boy! I’m so please she asked for some of my diapers…here is one of them. Hopefully he’ll be sporting it on Crescent Beach soon:)

Out with the old…

September 4th, 2010

But not really. Actually I’ve been coming across a ton of old things.  My old business Celestial Baby is one. While thinking about what on earth can I do with the website, since it is (was) my “baby”and I want to hold onto the name (see my hoarding comments) I came across some things that were Celestial Baby:

A Celestial “Snuggle” My ultimate night time diaper!

All Organic French Terry Fitted diapers

Hand-dyed Hemp Fitteds! And somebody sign me up for the show “Hoarders”. I may (or maybe not) post pictures of all the fabric thread and notions I’ve been “hoarding” all these years. It really is a huge mess…

The good thing is I am sewing again. There is nothing quite like a new serger that cuts like butter for motivation. I’ve picked out a few of my old (and new) favorite fabrics that I’ve been holding onto and finally cut into them! For a fabric hoarder, when you finally decide to cut into that full yard of rare, special, hard to find fabric, you know you’ve been bitten by the creative bug again. Guess that is what I’ve been craving for a bit.

So out with the old…the old Celestial Baby. There is no store. There are no crazy stocking announcements, there are no custom orders. All of that is just beyond my comprehension that I actually pulled it off at one time. Here what you will find is a little bit of me blogging about my new adventures of my sweet family, homeschooling, running…all things that are new since Celestial Baby went into scintillation failure. I think that is what happens when stars stop twinkling.
